Snapshot

  • Result: Seamless, high-contrast print that clearly displays product categories, company ethos and provides a unique branding experience indoors and out
  • Client: Greenline Dispensary (de-identified)
  • Location: Sales floor feature wall + category bays
  • Surface: Painted drywall, eggshell; mixed daylight + track lighting
  • Objective: Create a premium, compliant brand moment; improve category navigation; enable easy seasonal refreshes within lobby and an outside mural to gain social media attention and standout in a congested market
  • Install Window: Early Morning before rush (7:00am-11:00am)

Context

The store had strong traffic but a flat visual field—white walls and shelf talkers did most of the work. Vinyl tests near the entrance developed edge lift and glare under track spots. The team wanted a signature wall indoors and a mural outdoors that felt premium, unique and supported their brand.

Goals

  1. Plan for reprints around seasonal drops and collaborations.
  2. Elevate first impression with a brand-true feature supporting their ethos, and product category indoors and a mural that photographs well outdoors.
  3. Clarify navigation (Flower, Pre-rolls, Vapes, Edibles, Wellness) without adding bulky fixtures.
  4. Minimize disruption—doors open on time, no lingering odors, easy cleaning.

Solution (Why Direct-to-Wall)

We printed the design directly onto the painted wall using UV-cured inks: no panels, no seams, no glare. Finish wipes like paint, so staff clean per normal closing routine. A modular “promo band” area allows quick, compliant message swaps via repaint + reprint—no adhesive removal.

Artwork & Prep

  • Compliance: No product claims; category labels are wayfinding only, sized within store guidelines.
  • Design direction: Dark, tonal gradient field with botanical linework; refined wordmark; subtle category icons that read at distance but stay understated.
  • Color proof: On-site swatch to ensure deep blacks and accurate brand green under track lights.

Installation Plan

  • 6:30 a.m. Met with the manager to gain access and sign in log before opening
  • 6:45 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. Set up machine, level and alignment of prints
  • 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Feature wall + category bay prints in one continuous pass
  • 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Cure check and reset machine outside for outdoor mural on wall facing popular road. Indoor print was behind POS station so no desire for clear coat add on
  • 11:00 a.m. Manager walkthrough before daily rush. Manager requested the next print to be during peak hours to create a “Buzz” on the next job

Outcomes

  • Ops friendly: Cleaning is an easy wipe with micro fiber cloth; no edge repairs.
  • Premium feel: Seamless art elevates perceived quality; zero panel glare in photos.
  • Faster findability: Shoppers locate categories quicker; staff field fewer “where is…?” questions.
  • Promo agility: Seasonal “featured promo” scheduled quarterly—simple reprint.

Business Impact (First 45 Days)

  • Dwell & flow: Smoother circulation around bays; staff reported quicker decisioning at peak.
  • UGC/social: +48% increase in tagged outdoor mural photos (client’s social tally).
  • Basket mix: +6% lift in category cross-shopping after wayfinding refresh. Outdoor mural brought in new customers  (POS comparison, like-for-like weeks).

(Figures are client-reported; where permitted we substitute anonymized POS/footfall data.)

Why Not Vinyl Here

  • Refresh cadence (seasonal promos) made remove/clean/reinstall costly and disruptive.
  • Seams near corners and under track lighting created visible edges and glare.

Budget & Timing (Guidance)

  • Typical Range: Each project has its own unique complexities. We provide a straight number after a quick wall check and collection of files.
  • Scope: 250 sq ft across feature and bays, 400 sq ft outdoor mural

Maintenance & Refresh

  • Clean per paint spec; use micro fiber cloth to wipe
  • For seasonal change: quick repaint → new art → early morning reprint. No panel removal, no adhesive cleanup.

“It looks couture, photographs clean, and our team spends less time redirecting guests.”
